Achenbach's syndrome (AS), which was first described by Achenbach et al, is a disorder characterized by pain, numbness, swelling, coldness, and hematoma in the fingers, and may resolve spontaneously. It occurs predominantly in females and the median age of presentation is 50 years (range: 22-76 years, with 91% aged under 60 years).
