Preliminary metabolic signatures of rHuEpo administration were identified. Future studies will be required to validate these encouraging results in independent cohorts and with orthogonal techniques, such as integration of our data with signatures derived from other "omics" analyses of rHuEpo administration (eg, transcriptomics).
