The rate of RNAemia was 4.6% among blood donors who were found to be infected with SARS-CoV-2 shortly after donation, and vRNA concentrations in their donated blood were extremely low. There was no evidence of TTI in the recipients transfused with RNAemia-positive blood components. TTI risk in SARS-CoV-2 is negligible.
