The acute effects of exercise on high-risk elderly individuals can be safe, and even 1 of min exercise can potentially improve their nailfold capillary function, despite the brief time, compared to no exercise. The results indicate that capillaries have an impact on the function of the whole body. Thus, they may be a useful diagnostic tool for assessing nailfold capillaries.
