Oxidative stress and adipokine levels were significantly correlated in diabetic patients with hyperglycemic crises.

Diabetic patients with hyperglycemic crises have increased oxidative stress, which is associated with serum adipokine abnormalities; improved oxidative stress after treatment suggests that oxidative stress may serve as target and/or indicator for the treatment of hyperglycemic crises.
