Abductor deficiencies after THA are complex and have a high potential for long-term disability if not properly diagnosed and treated. A modified gluteal transfer with mesh reconstruction and distal fixation with cerclage cable allowed for sustained restoration of functional hip abduction and stability after revision THA.
