Extremely preterm adults with and without postnatal ROP showed the highest rate of eye diseases as well as the highest rate of ophthalmological check-ups within the last 12 months. This suggests that extremely preterm adults particularly with the occurrence of postnatal ROP perceive more frequent ophthalmological check-ups throughout their lives.
