Deoxygenation of Oxiranes by λ 3 σ 3 -Phosphorus Reagents: A Computational, Mechanistic, and Stereochemical Study.

Published in: ChemPlusChem (2024)
Invited for this month's cover is Prof. Arturo Espinosa Ferao at the University of Murcia, Spain. The cover picture shows two different ways of reacting a phosphane (R 3 P) with the oxirane (epoxide) ring. They arise from phosphorus attacking either the carbon or oxygen ring atoms and promoting carbene or oxygen transfer reactions with eliminations of H 2 C=O or CH 2 =CH 2 , respectively. More information can be found in the Research Article by Arturo Espinosa Ferao .
