• Computed tomography can be used for predicting the outcome of those with incidentally discovered univesicular liver hydatids. • The presence of laminated membrane detachment and/or pericyst degenerative changes is associated with a favorable outcome. • Their absence does not necessarily indicate an unfavorable outcome.
