Acute Local Cooling to the Lower Body during Recovery Does Not Improve Repeated Vertical Jump Performance.

The current study provides evidence that acute local cooling recovery after a vertical jump exercise may not add any performance benefits but may provide a psychological benefit. The effectiveness of acute local cooling in other functional performances should be addressed in further research.
