Efforts to reduce the frequency of leakage after LSG include a number of different measures. It is advisable to have expert knowledge not only in primary bariatric surgery, but also in the management of problems and reoperations in gastrointestinal surgery. An individualized approach and multidisciplinary teamwork are essential for successful therapy.
