The iron metabolism index sTfR correlates with CAD morbidity in a "J" shape. With superior diagnostic efficacy than cTnI, sTfR can assist in diagnosing CAD in patients with CAD-like symptoms. In addition, sTfR can provide guidance for the management of body iron levels in CAD patients.
