Two-stage anatomic dissection of the scalp and temporalis muscle during cranioplasty can maximize surgical efficiency and result in excellent outcomes. Cranioplasty should be considered a low-risk, low-complexity neurosurgical procedure. Safe and efficient management of the temporalis muscle is key.
