A photocatalyzed heteroarene-migratory dithiosulfonylation of alkene-tethered sulfone using dithiosulfonate (ArSO 2 -SSR) has been reported, featuring mild conditions, and high atom economy. The resulting products can be converted into dihydrothiophenes and homoallyl disulfides, making the method highly valuable.
