Our results indicate that ODE, used after the initial TDE treatment period, is as safe and efficacious as TDE maintenance for the treatment of pediatric VTE. The difference in VTE sites may have contributed to the equal efficacy of both the cohorts. Future prospective studies in pediatric VTE are needed to validate these results.
