Deoxyribonuclease I (DNase I) was successfully loaded and delivered by silver-doped mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSN-Ag) for biofilm treatments. This nanoformulation showed enhanced antibacterial effects for both Gram-negative and Gram-positive biofilms by promoting the biofilm biomass dispersing ability of DNase I.
