Serum hepassocin concentration evaluated between 24 and 28 weeks of gestation was found to be higher in pregnant women with GDM than in the non-GDM group. The highest serum hepassocin concentration was found in the GDM group using insulin for blood glucose regulation. Hepassocin seems to be a promising molecule that can be used in GDM screening in pregnant women who do not want to have an OGTT in the future.
