Removing a suprapatellar intramedullary nail via a suprapatellar approach: a retrospective cohort study.

Compared with the IP technique, the SP approach for the removal of an SP tibial nail was independently associated with an increased post-operative Lysholm knee score and decreased VAS score, although the surgery was longer in duration. The novel technique offers a reliable and minimally invasive option for the removal of an SP tibial nail.
