Sepsis awareness and understanding in Australian parents: A National Child Health Poll survey.

There are considerable knowledge gaps in parental awareness and knowledge of sepsis, particularly sepsis recognition. Parental education should target these knowledge gaps in order to improve healthcare-seeking behaviour and communication between parents and healthcare providers in order to facilitate early sepsis diagnosis and treatment.
