Herein, a fluorescent probe (named TPACP) with aggregation-induced emission (AIE) feature was developed and utilized for the selective detection of Cu 2+ with high sensitivity and fast-response. The resultant TPACP@Cu 2+ complexes from coordination of TPACP with Cu 2+ can also be potentially applied for chemodynamic and photodynamic therapy.
