Surgery with and without adjuvant radiotherapy is associated with similar survival in T4 colon cancer.

Using the NCDB and SEER, we found no statistically significant difference in overall survival or disease-specific survival between patients treated with and without adjuvant radiation. Further studies should evaluate the impact of adjuvant radiotherapy on local control and prevention of recurrence-related morbidity in patients with T4 colon cancer.
