Intravenous thrombolysis in acute ischemic stroke patients with prestroke disability was not associated with an increased risk of symptomatic intracerebral hemorrhage or parenchymal hemorrhage. Prestroke disability was however associated with a higher risk of early mortality compared to patients without prestroke disability.
