It is unlikely that patient perceptions are a barrier to MT uptake. Younger, more educated patients have higher knowledge, attitudes, and beliefs about MT. Increasing patient knowledge about MT may improve their attitudes and beliefs, thereby further optimizing this therapy for widespread use.
