Electrocatalytic nitrate (NO 3 - ) reduction not only generates high-value ammonia (NH 3 ) but holds significant potential in the control of NO 3 - contaminants in natural environments. Here, a bimetallic FeCo 2 O 4 spinel nanowire array grown on carbon cloth is proposed as an efficient electrocatalyst for the conversion of NO 3 - to NH 3 with a high faradaic efficiency of up to 95.9% and a large NH 3 yield of 4988 μg h -1 cm -2 . Furthermore, it also exhibits excellent stability during 16 h electrolysis.
