CRC affects patient quality of life. Understanding patient perspective on CRC diagnosis and treatment helps providers better understand the physical and emotional toll CRC takes on patients. Findings suggest that providers should spend more time counseling patients regarding their treatment and diagnosis, as patients with CRC do not always fully understand their diagnosis and resort to self-blame.
