Among patients with neuroendocrine cervical carcinomas, overall survival is favorable for patients with early-stage disease. However, most patients present with locally advanced disease, and overall survival remains poor in this subgroup. For patients with advanced disease, receiving cisplatin/carboplatin plus etoposide and curative radiation therapy is associated with improved overall survival.
