Because skin cancer is on the rise, it is important to elucidate the burden and determinants associated with survival outcomes to identify high-risk pediatric and young adult populations. Understanding these factors in the Florida pediatric population may provide a base for future endeavors to create culturally competent cancer prevention programs through screening, health promotion, and literacy.
