Ramosetron did not delay bowel movement recovery after gynecologic laparoscopic surgery and was as effective as dexamethasone in regulating PONV. Ramosetron can be used with IV-PCA without concerns about delay in recovery of bowel function. ClinicalTrials.gov registration number: NCT02849483.
