The association between deprivation and the incidence and survival of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma in the West of Scotland.

Living in the most deprived areas of the West of Scotland was associated with approximately a twofold increase in the incidence of HCC. However, in contrast to previous research, there was no difference in survival following diagnosis between patients living in the most and least deprived areas.
