Would a 'Rosendo' by Another Name Smell as Sweet? Gender Disparity in Academic Rank and Publications in Rheumatology.

We are all familiar with Shakespeare's quote from Romeo and Juliet 'A rose by any other name would smell as sweet'. The answer to promotion in rheumatology, if there is gender equality; would be that Rose or Rosendo (the male version of Rose) would have equal opportunity to be promoted in academic rheumatology in the US.
