Factors Influencing HIV Infection in Children Born to HIV-Infected Mothers in Turkey.

We concluded that mother-to-child transmission (MTCT) is still a considerable way of HIV transmission in Turkey. The key factors to decrease MTCT seem detecting HIV-positive mothers, initiating antiretroviral therapy, and counseling mothers to sustain their adherence.
