Low BMI is associated with increased risk of death from infection, acute respiratory failure, and chronic lung allograft dysfunction after lung transplantation, while high BMI is associated with increased risk of death from primary graft dysfunction, acute respiratory failure, and chronic lung allograft dysfunction.
