The CC genotype of the PNPLA3 gene rs738409 and the TT genotype of the MBOAT7 gene rs64173 are risk factors in the occurrence of MAFLD. The AA genotype of the STAT3 gene rs744166 is a protective factor of MAFLD, while TM6SF2 rs58542926 and GATAD2A rs4808199 show no significant correlation with MAFLD.
