Successful treatment of chronic type B aortic dissection complicated by disseminated intravascular coagulopathy with recombinant human soluble thrombomodulin after thoracic endovascular aortic repair.

We successfully treated a patient with chronic type B aortic dissection with a large intimal tear complicated by postoperative disseminated intravascular coagulopathy using TEVAR followed by rhTM administration. rhTM may be considered in patients with large intimal tear and false lumen.
