Post-infarction ventricular septal defect (VSD) is a rare but formidable complication of myocardial infarction following mortality rate up to 90% without invasive treatment. Surgical closure is preferred for VSD. The authors report successful surgical treatment of a patient with post-infarction LV aneurysm and residual post-infarction VSD in 5 years after implantation of two occluders.
