Maternal IGFs and IGFBPs for macrosomia prediction in diabetic and non-diabetic pregnancy: a prospective study.

We detected different 1st-trimester IGF-I and IGF-I/IGFBP-1 thresholds applicable for either supposition or rejection of macrosomia diagnosis. Further investigation is needed to determine how maternal IGF axis can contribute to fetal macrosomia prediction.
