Secondary Postoperative Hemorrhage in the Pediatric Tonsillectomy Patient- is there a correlation between hemorrhage and tonsilloliths?

In the current study there was no association found between the presence of tonsilloliths (indicating low grade chronic inflammation) and hemorrhage after tonsillectomy. Continued larger sample evaluations of possible risk factors for post-tonsillectomy hemorrhage patterns are encouraged.
