19 F-based magnetic resonance is a powerful tool to overcome several difficulties of standard 1 H MR. We present the syntheses and characterization (including cell viability and stability tests) of two Tm 3+ complexes. Both complexes allow the detection of temperature (Δ C T = -0.2319 ppm K -1 and -0.2122 ppm K -1 ) without a reference compound.
