Magnetically assisted capsule endoscopy is an optimal alternative for gastric examination, especially for the large-scale screening of asymptomatic patients. Patients with gastrointestinal symptoms or focal lesions evidenced by magnetically assisted capsule endoscopy are more likely to seek conventional gastroscopy for further biopsy or endoscopic treatment than those without gastrointestinal symptoms or focal lesions are.
