The title compound, C 42 H 37 NO 2 , crystallizes in the ortho-rhom-bic space group P 2 1 2 1 2 1 with one mol-ecule in the asymmetric unit. An intra-molecular hydrogen bond orients the phenol hydroxyl group toward the imine nitro-gen. The aliphatic alcohol is engaged in a weak intra-molecular hydrogen bond with the imine nitro-gen.
