Association between the serum zinc level and nutritional status represented by the geriatric nutritional Rrisk index.

In this post hoc analysis, the GNRI, as well as the serum albumin level, were correlated with the serum zinc level, indicating that nutritional status is an important determinant of the zinc level. Further investigations are needed to clarify the effects of nutritional status and kidney function on zinc deficiency.
