Planned home births increased by more than 50 % during the pandemic, with greater socioeconomic diversity in the pandemic-era home birth cohort. The presence of clinical risk factors remained a strong predictor of hospital birth, with no evidence that pandemic-era home births had a higher clinical risk profile as compared to the pre-pandemic period.
