We provided novel evidence that cSLE patients have an overall androgen/glucocorticoid/mineralocorticoid adrenal suppression. Furthermore, low/moderate prednisone use seems to underlie these abnormalities and may also adversely affect ovarian reserve, independently of immunosuppressants.
