This study reflects the complex decision-making in offering minimally invasive thyroid nodule ablation. Despite a greater number of referrals over time, physician criteria became increasingly selective. Optimal candidacy in RFA is an evolving determination requiring patient and physician input to guide ideal practice patterns.
