TAMRA has proven utility in diagnosing GCA, and this data suggests that it also has utility in identifying alternative diagnoses to rule out the disease. Intracranial vasculitis was also seen in 14.3% of patients; the clinical impact of these findings is currently poorly understood and requires further study.
