A Wadsley-Roth crystallographic shear phase SrNb 6 O 16 anode for fast Li-ion storage.

SrNb 6 O 16 , featuring an enlarged unit-cell volume (Wadsley-Roth phase), is selected as a model anode to investigate its fast-charging behaviors. This novel SrNb 6 O 16 exhibits a large reversible capacity of 223.4 mA h g -1 at 0.3C, high rate performance (20C) and remarkable cyclability (capacity retention rate of 80.5% after 850 cycles).
