PPMS and SPMS had similar neuropsychological performance. Cognitive dysfunction in PPMS and SPMS was related to distinct patterns of structural MRI abnormalities and involvement of different white matter tracts, while RS FC alterations did not contribute to explain their global cognitive functioning.
