Sarcopenia risk is extremely common among RACS residents and its presence is a significant contributor to 12-month mortality. Low discriminative ability for the SARC-F was noted across multiple cut-off scores for predicting mortality at 12 months. Diabetes management and promoting physical activity and nutrition among RACS residents are likely to influence sarcopenia risk positively. Geriatr Gerontol Int 2022; 22: 206-212.
