This SR revealed that dental students are not adequately trained to treat special needs populations; consequentially, dental students lack confidence in providing high-quality care to this demographic. The absence of standardized training poses a global challenge, exacerbating care disparities. Addressing this issue is crucial to better prepare dental students and advance equitable access and quality care for underserved populations.
