The results confirm the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory-mediated neuroprotective properties of apple-derived drinks, suggesting that their consumption could be a good approach for prevention of neurodegenerative disorders. To the authors' knowledge, this is the first description of cider neuroprotective effects.
